August 22 - Atlas Air has agreed to operate a second Boeing 747-400 freighter for Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA), with an opportunity for additional aircraft in the future.

Commencing September 2017, the aircraft will be flown on key routes across the transpacific connecting Asia and the USA.

Atlas Air Worldwide president and chief executive officer, William J. Flynn says: "NCA has chosen to expand its partnership with Atlas Air following the successful start of the first aircraft for NCA earlier this year."

According to the NCA website, its freighter that are equipped with a nose cargo door help to facilitate the handling of diverse types of oversized cargoes.
