BBC opens in France

January 16 - Global provider of multipurpose and heavy lift shipping services, BBC Chartering, has launched its new representative office in Rouen, France.

Charles Akrout has been appointed as the country manager operating the new facility.

"We aim to strengthen our activities in the important French market. This new presence is a strategic move to bring our global shipping solutions more directly to logistics managers in France," said Jens Meilvang, chief chartering officer at BBC's global headquarters in Leer, Germany.

Besides its global headquarters, BBC also has presences in Antwerp, Belgium; Bremen, Germany; Genoa, Italy; Liverpool, UK; Istanbul, Turkey; and St Petersburg, Russia.
