October 1 - According to reports in the international media, Louisiana, USA based Berard Transportation has completed the load-out of the 2,000 tonne offshore supply vessel Polaris.

Berard Transportation moved the 80 m x 18 m vessel from its position in a fabrication yard to the drydock in preparation for launch.

Challenging weather conditions and nearly a week's worth of rain made ground conditions very poor. Upon Polaris' arrival at the drydock, Berard rotated the vessel by 90 degrees in preparation for the load-out. Then the drydock's water pumps were activated and the load slid forward to its final position, ready to be discharged into the water.
