Boskalis set to move on Fairmount Marine?

December 30 - According to reports in the Dutch media, Royal Boskalis Westminster (Boskalis) is, once again, in acquisition mode.

The Dutch marine services giant, which completed the acquisition of Dockwise earlier this year, is reported to be talking with Fairmount Marine about a potential takeover, but no further information was offered.

Fairmount Marine, which is owned by the French company, Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, is, a specialist in short and deep-sea towage and has a fleet of six vessels, plus a submersible barge.

June 5 - A fire broke out aboard Höegh Autoliners’ ro-ro vessel Höegh Xiamen yesterday (June 4) at Blount Island, Jacksonville, USA; there are no injuries to any of the 21 crew members, who have all been evacuated from the vessel.
