Breakbulk soars at Jaxport

October 25 - Jaxport handled almost 888,000 tonnes of breakbulk cargo during the 2016 fiscal year ended September 30, 2016, a 22 percent increase compared with the previous year.

Jaxport also moved a record 968,279 teu of containers during the reporting period, around 30,000 teu more than its previous record.

Meanwhile, the US port handled a total of 636,000 vehicles, including 467,989 imported - a 19 percent year-on-year increase.
