Brownsville ships in new director

November 9 - Steve Tyndal has joined the Port of Brownsville as senior director of marketing and business development.

Tynal joins from Port Manatee, Florida, where he held a similar position for 20 years. At Brownsville he will be responsible for all trade development, marketing and public relations activities, with oversight responsibilities for the port's 16,190 ha of real estate.

"We're delighted that Steve has joined our team and look forward to his contributions and leadership in the port's future growth," said Brownsville navigation district chairman Ralph Cowen. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and port experience to the table."
