November 11 - Brunel Project Cargo coordinated the transport of a new aircraft engine from the UK to Russia, where an aircraft had been grounded with an unserviceable engine.

The new CFM56 aircraft engine was delivered onboard an AN-12 aircraft from the UK's Stansted airport to St Petersburg, Russia.

"Our client had been looking for options to procure a new CFM56 aircraft engine in the UK to be sent by road freight to Russia. However, due to the conflicting Customs issues, an alternative route via airfreight had to be arranged," said Brunel's logistics director Mike White.

On arrival in St Petersburg, the new engine was fitted and the old engine was loaded back onto the AN-12 freighter for transport back to the leasing company in Brussels, Belgium.

Brunel Project Cargo is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN) in the UK.
