COLI Schiffahrt & Transport, through its Asia Break Bulk (ABB) Singapore venture with CSL Shipping, is adding three vessels to its fleet: Asian Victory, Fazah I and Royal I.
Sisterships Asian Victory and Fazah I are dry cargo vessels designed for the transportation of breakbulk and heavy lift cargoes. Both multipurpose vessels can handle loads of up to 500 tonnes using their two 250-tonne capacity cranes.
Currently, both vessels are positioned to sail via the Suez Canal – subject to risk assessment, said ABB – allowing for a quick transit of cargoes destined for Europe.
Royal I, meanwhile, is a 11,000 dwt geared vessel with two 60-tonne capacity cranes, suitable for all kinds of breakbulk cargoes.
Felix Pienemann, managing director of COLI Group, said: “With this new tonnage, we are able to serve our clients and fulfil their project cargo transport needs efficiently in close collaboration with our joint venture colleagues at CSL. With both CSL and COLI having a strong presence in China, added with our strong network of offices in Asia – including ABB Singapore – we are delighted to expand our joint offering of ‘solutions beyond the ordinary’ to our clients around the globe.”
ABB formed its strategic partnership with CSL at the start of last year and have been working together to market the latter’s multipurpose vessel Jian Yang Hua Qing. Following that venture’s success, Jack Lee, managing director at CSL, said: “We are happy to continue together with ABB and its parent company COLI Group. Indeed, we plan to add further vessels to our joint fleet.”
