Combi Lift first with occupational health and safety

February 6 - Heavy lift shipping company, Combi Lift is claiming a first having become the first company in the heavy lift sector to be certified for compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007.

This certification follows the line's continuous efforts to improve quality and develop safety policy activities. OHSAS 18001 is the internationally recognized assessment specification for occupational health and safety management systems In 2007, Combi Lift claimed another first as the first shipping line in the heavy lift sector to obtain all three ISO certifications; 9001 (quality), 14001 (environment) and 18001 (health and safety) for both its land-based activities and the ships under its management and ownership.
