Darka discharges survey boat

April 1 - Darka for Trading & Services was appointed agent for Sevenstar Yacht Transport's vessel Zelada Desgagnes to discharge a 34-tonne survey boat at its port call in Port Sudan.

Darka handled the stevedoring of the survey boat Taharga, which was built in Germany's Hermann Barthel Shipyard for The Ministry of Electricity and Dams in Sudan.

Taharga, which has a length of 17.5 m and a 5.18 m long beam, will be used for survey purposes in the Merowe Dam Reservoir.

Zelada Desgagnes was discharged from the port of Sudan less than two hours after its arrival. 

Darka for Trading & Services is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC).
