May 17 - DB Schenker Logistics will build a new EUR53 million (USD67.98 million) logistics terminal in Vantaa, Finland.
The new development will be situated in the Viinikkala logistics area, close to Helsinki airport. The 52,000 sq m terminal will provide land transport, air and ocean freight and parcel services. The facility is expected to come online in July 2015.
"Combining all operations in one building will improve our efficiency and productivity and streamline our cargo flows between different transport modes," noted Göran Åberg, ceo of Oy Schenker East Ab.
