August 26 - If you're a forwarder involved in project cargoes, time is running out for you to enter this year's freight industry awards organised by the British International Freight Association (BIFA).

The trade association has made a plea for last-minute entries and, as the deadline for entries nears, Robert Keen, executive director encourages forwarders that have not yet entered to apply. He says: "By entering this year's BIFA Awards competition, you will give yourself the opportunity of winning. Quite simply, you have to be in it to win it! There's still time to take part in the competition, so don't miss the deadline!"

The deadline for entry forms is 5.00 pm on Friday 18th September 2009. After that date, there will be two weeks to complete a written submission. The deadline for the Young Freight Forwarder Award is 5.00 pm on Tuesday 6th October 2009.

There are nine BIFA Freight Service Awards categories in total; one of which is specific to project forwarding and has been sponsored by BBC Chartering. Further information relating to entries and luncheon reservations can be obtained by visiting the Events section of the BIFA website www.bifa.org
