January 19 - DHL Global Forwarding has held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new USD35 million facility in Chicago, Illinois.

Strategically located in the Chicago O'Hare International Airport's cargo zone, the three-storey building, which has taken a year to build, features 491,000 sq ft (45,600 sq m) of office and warehouse space, making it the largest free-standing DHL Global Forwarding building in its worldwide network.

The new building, which is a bonded container freight station (CFS), will house 500 employees  and a portion of the building has been designated a foreign trade zone (FTZ).
