December 18 - Maintal, Germany based crane service provider, Eisele AG, has taken delivery of two Terex AC 140 Compact and one Challenger 3180 all terrain cranes in Zweibrucken.

With a 60 m main boom and a main boom extension that can range from 9.1 m to 33 m, the 140-tonne capacity AC 140 Compact requires only one additional vehicle when used for projects involving heavy loads, since it is able to carry an 8.3-tonne counterweight by itself while still operating within a 12-tonne axle load limit.

The 60-tonne capacity Challenger 3180 all terrain crane has a 50 m main boom combined with a 16 m extension, and a maximum lifting capacity of 37.9 tonnes at a radius of 4 m.

Rocco Schimmel, engineer consultant at Eisele said that the company would be using these two cranes mostly for erecting tower cranes and carrying out demolition and industrial assembly work.

Elsewhere, in India, Chaudhary Transport Company has taken delivery of its first ever Terex crane - a Toplift 55 truck crane with a capacity of 55 tonnes and a maximum boom length of 42 m.

As well as a 55-tonne lift capacity at a 3 m radius and a maximum 32 m fully extended working radius, the Terex Toplift 55 has a wide wheelbase, 40 percent gradeability, two drive axles and two steering axles, providing on site manoeuvrability.

The crane has already been deployed at an oil refinery in the northwest state of Rajasthan, India.
