Norwegian shipping line G2 Ocean has welcomed 82,300 dwt multipurpose vessel Star Norge into its fleet following a naming ceremony in China.
The first in a series of newbuild vessels set to join G2 Ocean’s fleet in the coming years, Star Norge was named at the Huangpu Wenchong shipyard in Guangzhou, China.
“This event not only celebrates Star Norge’s addition to our fleet but also marks the launch of our fleet renewal programme, enabling G2 Ocean to enhance our operational capabilities further and provide greater flexibility for our customers,” said Arthur English, ceo of G2 Ocean.
Last year, G2 Ocean implemented Seaber’s chartering and schedule optimisation software, Seaber.io.
