The 4,6000 dwt Hartman Class 500 has a 500-tonne lifting capacity and a top speed of 19.5 knots. The vessel, will be built by Rock Shipbuilding, will come fitted with a Wärtsilä 31 engine – deemed to be the most efficient four-stroke engine in the world.

Via its battery-electric mode, Hartman Class 500 can sail up to 11 knots emission-free, while its full shore power connection means that port operations – including crane operations – can be carried out emission-free, too.
