November 15 - Grupo Libra, the first private company to manage a sea terminal in Brazil and one of the country's largest sea terminal and international logistics operators, is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the country's port services privatisation.

Libra Terminais currently holds concessions over a group of terminals in the ports of Santos and Rio de Janeiro, and shows growing figures in cargo handling, efficiency and investment in infrastructure and equipments.

While predominantly a container port, visiting multipurpose ships will profit from the continuing programme of dredging in the navigation channel of the Port of Santos which has already deepened the channel to a depth of 14.3m in approximately 65 percent of its entire length. The programme is expected to be completed in March, 2011.
