"The LTM 1350-6.1 is our first luffing jib crane. It marks a breakthrough for us into a new sector. We had to invest in this new crane because the loads we are being asked to hoist are getting heavier and heavier," said the company's managing partners, Rolf Hüffermann and Daniel Janssen.
The 350-tonne capacity Liebherr model covers a wide range of applications, and Hüffermann is planning to use it for bridge construction, port handling and wind energy, particularly in the repair and maintenance of wind turbines and re-powering.
Hüffermann has around 40 mobile cranes in its fleet, with lifting capacities ranging from 30 tonnes to 350 tonnes.
