Hauswald named at Hansa Meyer

August 10 - Marc-Oliver Hauswald has been appointed managing director of Hansa Meyer Global Holding (HMGH) and Hansa Meyer Global Transport (HMGT).

Hauswald, who has previously held managerial positions at Rhenus Buss Group and Imperial Logistics International, and Henrique Wholtmann will act as joint managing directors.

As HLPFI reported, Wholtmann was appointed managing director of HMGT in 2015, and HMGH the following year.

Jörg Knehe, who together with his partners K. G. Gorski and Norbert Glese founded the company, will step down as managing partner of HMGH upon completion of the handover on January 1, 2018.

Knehe will become a member of the corporate advisory board and will work as a consultant for the group of companies

Earlier this year, HMGT opened an office in Chengdu, China, which will serve the west China market, trading as Hansa Meyer Global Transport (Shanghai).

As well as being geographically close to Laos, Myanmar, Nepal and Bangladesh, Chengdu is home to some of the key manufacturing factories, says Lillian Yuan, managing director of Hansa Meyer Global Transport (Shanghai).

HMGT China is now represented with offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Dalian, Tianjin and Chengdu.
