Havator names technical director

November 29 - Kristian Nummelin (pictured below) has been appointed as technical director at Havator Group

He joins Havator from BRP where he held a position as a director, Sales & Marketing Scandinavia.

Prior to this he held a position as managing director at BRP Sweden in Umeå, Sweden.

Havator Group is a business with operations that involve crane services, special transports, section assembly and harbour crane operations and has a number of subsidiaries including Havator Cranes which offers lifting services andHavator Transport which focuses on special and heavy transports including jacking and skidding.

Havator Group speciality is all-in project solutions in collaboration with skilled partners and the company is operational in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia and the Baltic States.

June 5 - A fire broke out aboard Höegh Autoliners’ ro-ro vessel Höegh Xiamen yesterday (June 4) at Blount Island, Jacksonville, USA; there are no injuries to any of the 21 crew members, who have all been evacuated from the vessel.
