December 18 - Dunagep - the Danubian Building Machines Servicing Corporation - has taken delivery of its largest all-terrain crane: a 500-tonne capacity Terex AC 500-2.

The latest addition to Dunagep's fleet has a reach of 144 m, compared with the 135 m reach and 400-tonne capacity of its previous flagship machine.

The company, which is headquartered in Budapest, mainly serves the steel, refinery and petrochemical industries, and the new Terex crane will make its lifting debut at a Hungarian power plant.

Dunagep chairman Laszlo Szecsenfalvi praised the new crane's transport logistics, quick set up, long reach and reliability. "It has added a whole new dimension to our product line-up," he said.

"The AC 500-2 crane will enable Dunagep to accept and undertake work that previously would have necessitated working in conjunction with industry partners," said Terex sales manager Andreas Schramm. "Now they will be in a position to complete these larger projects themselves."
