Julius delivered to Gray

March 27 - Gray Offshore has taken delivery of a 91.4 m x 30.5 m ABS-classed heavy-duty ocean deck barge, Julius, from Conrad Shipyard LLC.

This is the first barge delivery from Conrad Shipyard's newest facility, Deepwater South, in Amelia, Los Angeles.

"This addition to our fleet, with its 29.3 tonne/sq m heavy-duty deck configuration and radial spoon bow, offers our customers optimal solutions for their heavy lift needs," said John Gray, president of Gray Offshore and its affiliated Gray Barge Companies.

"Adding the Julius to our growing ocean barge fleet, which currently consists of two 79.2 m long ABS barges - Cordie and Gwendolyn - also constructed at Conrad, gives our customers more options and is the right fit to satisfy the market's need to move increasingly heavier over-dimensional and project cargoes both internationally and domestically," added Gray.
