April 27 - Kassbohrer's board member for business development, İffet Türken, has been elected as the vice president of ESTA's transport section.

Commenting on her new role, Türken said that the ESTA general assembly's decision to elect her as transport vice president increases the "visibility of women in the transportation industry".

"Our agenda is quite challenging," she continued. "We are working to promote safety, quality and professionalism throughout the European heavy transport industry, where there are still inconsistencies.

"It is important for us to harmonise working practices and operational regulations to create an environment that allows cross-border heavy transport projects."

Kässbohrer has been a member of the European association of abnormal road transport and mobile cranes since 2012.
