May 17 - Bremen-based project cargo forwarder LS International Cargo was contracted to move a dryer for the paper industry ex-Santos, Brazil to Krapkowice, Poland in a voyage of around five weeks.

The LS team selected the box vessel CMA CGM Sambhar which arrived in Hamburg with just a 14 day window to arrange for the on-carriage to final destination, a distance of 750 km. Its dimensions meant that only barge transport was available from Hamburg.

The barge arrived at the jetty in Chorula near Opole and transhipment to a road trailer was executed the same day. The truck transport to final destination was just 19 km and was arrange for overnight on the following day.
