New PCN member shifts generator sets

March 1 - Advantage Worldwide (UK) (AWL) has become the third and final member to join the Project Cargo Network (PCN) representing the United Kingdom.

Advantage UK has four offices across the UK and employs in excess of 40 staff.

The company recently shipped generator sets on a part-charter B747-400 freighter. AWL was responsible for clearing the oversized cargo from a bonded warehouse before loading the heavy machinery on to trucks. The generators were then securely transported to an airport 30 miles (48.2 km) away. Heavy lift cranes were used to load the cargoes onto the freighter aircraft.
