OTAL adds Cabinda to West Africa service

August 25 - OT Africa Line has added Cabinda in Angola to its West Africa feeder network.

The new rotation of the West Feeder service is Pointe Noire (Congo), Cabinda (Angola), Boma, then Banana (Democratic Republic of Congo), Lobito and Namibe (both Angola). The carrier also calls at Luanda and Soyo in Angola on other services.

Cabinda is one of the main supply centres for the nation's burgeoning offshore oil industry and the movement of breakbulk, project cargo and container traffic has been increasing rapidly in recent years

In an official statement, the shipping line said the service will be aimed at dedicated transportation for industrial projects and the oil industry. In addition to project cargoes, standard containers, reefers, flat racks, open-top containers and 40-foot high cube containers are all available.
