Lockheed Martin has announced that Pallas Aviation will be the first commercial freighter operator of its LM-100J, a variant of its C-130 Super Hercules aircraft.

Pictured alongside one of his LM-100Js is Pallas Aviation president, Emory Ellis, who says the aircraft is the one his company needs to "do its job".

Operating two of the LM-100Js out of Forth Worth Alliance airpot in Texas, USA, Pallas Aviation will provide heavy lift and oversized cargo transportation services into and out of unconventional airports and remote locations, said Lockheed Martin.

Lockheed Martin introduced the LM-100J freighter in 2014 as the successor of the L-100 commercial variant of the Super Hercules. In October 2017, the second LM-100J freighter aircraft completed its first test flight, as HLPFI reported here.
