November 27 - C.H. Robinson Project Logistics, member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN), has delivered 49 wind turbines to a project site near Bluff Point in Indiana, USA.

The project required 476 truckloads to transport the towers, nacelles and 147 blades, measuring 56.9 m x 3.94 m x 2.9 m and weighing 11.5 tonnes each.

In total, C.H. Robinson transported 15,868 tonnes of cargo from the US ports of Monroe in Michigan and Garden City in Georgia.

Brasporto Logistica e Assessoria Aduaneira, PCN member in Brazil, has handled the shipment of three Caterpillar tractors manufactured in Brazil to Australia.

Brasporto was contracted by fellow PCN member, CMX Global Logistics.

PCN member in Vietnam, Cuchi Shipping, has transported part of a catwalk support frame from the factory to Saigon Newport, where Cuchi handled the loading of the cargo onboard an OOCL container vessel for onward transportation to Busan, South Korea.

The cargo, which measured 23 m x 2.8 m x 2.1 m and weighed 21.81 tonnes, was loaded on the vessel using ten 40 ft flat racks

Wilhelmsen Ships Services (WSS) has supported a refinery expansion project in Oman.

As of November 2017, a total of 90,000 cu m of out-of-gauge and project cargo have been delivered across five ships, with single pieces weighing up to 576 tonnes and measuring up to 76 m in length.
