November 16 - The Project Cargo Network (PCN) has signed up its first member in Nigeria, International Express Logistics Services Ltd (INTEX), based in Lagos.

INTEX began trading in 2001 and its head office is in the former capital of Lagos. The company also has branch offices in the key locations of Port Harcourt and Kano.

INTEX has an experienced staff of 12, headed by managing director Johnson Akede, and will provide PCN members with further strong African representation in a key region, says Rachel Humphrey, PCN chairwoman.

Representatives from INTEX have confirmed their attendance at the network's first annual summit this weekend in London, where the heavy lift and project cargo specialists have been busy scheduling over 550 individual 1-2-1 meetings, which will take place over the two-day gathering (HLPFI Nov 10).
