January 21 - UK-based heavylift handling company ALE has undertaken two significant installation projects at the Artenius petrochemical plant in Sines, Portugal,160 km from Lisbon.

In the first movement, ALE Heavylift has executed the installation of a 250 tonne steam turbine (pictured left below) at the site, one of 16 items of heavy equipment that had to be installed in this project.

The installation was performed using the CC2800 crane, configured with a 66m main boom, with superlift and 150 tonne counterweight, working at an 18 m radius.

Meanwhile, the company has executed the installation of a 290 tonne oxidation reactor with a 10 m diameter (pictured right below). The installation was performed using the CC2800 crane, configured with a 66 m main boom, with superlift boom and 250 tonne counterweight. During the installation, a 400 tonne telescopic crane was used for tailing purposes.
