August 8 - Port Manatee has welcomed World Direct Shipping's new vessel Queen B on its maiden voyage from Mexico to the USA.

World Direct Shipping purchased the ship earlier this year and outfitted it with a pair of TTS NMF deck cranes at the Pella Sietas shipyard in Hamburg, Germany.

Queen B replaces the previously chartered multipurpose vessel, Falmouth, in the trade between Port Manatee and the Mexican Port of Coatzacoalcos.

The weekly service between Mexico and the USA, which was initiated in November 2015, generally carries refrigerated produce from Mexico to Manatee and returns with a consignment of paper, recycled materials and oversized cargoes.
