Cargolux Airlines, in cooperation with HNCA Logistics and European Logistics Partners (ELP), has transported a 10 m-long shaft from Luxembourg to Zhengzhou, China.

According to Cargolux, the 43-tonne unit was the heaviest single piece of cargo that it has ever delivered to mainland China.

Paul Hoffmann, director, ground engineering at Cargolux, said: “While Cargolux frequently transports heavy cargo shipments of up to 60 tonnes throughout its global network, this specific shipment was the first time that a single piece of cargo weighing above 35,000 kg (35 tonnes) was flown into Zhengzhou airport”.
