December 5 - Kübler Spedition has utilised a two-axle Scheuerle UltralightCombi for the symbolic homecoming of the German aircraft Landshut, a Boeing 737 which was hijacked in 1977.

Logistics Plus, in cooperation with Brazil-based Salco Logistics, arranged the transportation of the German aircraft from Fortaleza in Brazil to Friedrichshafen, Germany, as HLPFI reported here.

Upon arrival in Friedrichshafen, Kübler coordinated with the aircraft crew and Logistics Plus team for the reloading operation, and provided trucks and a special trailer to transport the aircraft to the Dornier Museum where it will be exhibited.

"With the new Scheuerle boiler deck, we were able to drive to Friedrichshafen without requiring an empty-run approval and, once there, extend the vehicle to the required length through the addition of beams," explained Heinz Rössler, managing director at Kübler Spedition.

For a closer look at the project, see the November/December 2017 edition of HLPFI.
