August 3 - Steder Group - member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for the Netherlands, Djibouti and Ethipioa - has coordinated the delivery of power plant equipment to Zimbabwe.

The most urgent equipment was transported from Dubai to Zimbabwe's Harare International Airport on chartered AN-124 and B747 freighters, with the loading and unloading operations supervised by Steder.

Four 70-tonne transformers and around 150 containers were also shipped from Dubai's Port of Jebel Ali to the South African Port of Durban, where fellow WWPC member Spedag Interfreight coordinated the 1,700 km road transport to the project site in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Several cable reels with heights of up to 4 m were delivered to the Zimbabwe plant from India, while a wheel loader was transported overland from Tanzania to the project site on a lowbed trailer.

In total around 500 containers were shipped from around the world to the site, while 30 airfreight shipments were also delivered to Harare International Airport for the project. The entire project took two months to complete.
