Weather intelligence and decision support technology provider StormGeo has entered into a strategic partnership with Bearing AI, which specialises in AI-driven vessel performance modelling.

StormGeo said that its voyage optimisation service already provides intelligent routing based on real-time weather, oceanographic conditions, and fuel efficiency models. With the addition of Bearing AI’s models, shipowners and operators can expect optimised route planning thanks to enhanced data accuracy; improved fuel efficiency as the AI-powered models complement StormGeo’s technology and forecasting expertise; and lower carbon emissions thanks to more precise modelling.
