Tacoma's breakbulk up

March 20 - The Port of Tacoma reported gains in breakbulk cargo and auto import volumes through February, but noted that container volumes continued to fall.

Machinery and construction equipment imports drove breakbulk volumes up by 33 percent year to date to 32,304 tonnes.

Container volumes fell by 5 percent year to date, dragged down by a 28 percent drop in international empties.
