March 8 - Volga-Dnepr Airlines has flown two giant electricity stations, each weighing 63.8 tonnes, from Milan on board AN-124-100 flights to St. Petersburg.

The airline said that each flight utilised special services for complex cargo shipments provided by Volga-Dnepr Group's new Engineering & Logistics Center (ILC). In Milan, ILC organised special trailers to collect the electricity stations from the production factory as well as the necessary authorisation to move the oversized cargo by road to the airport.

The team also arranged airport passes, took care of all necessary documentation - including customs requirements -and ensured the correct special loading equipment was on site at the airport to complete a safe and timely loading process.
