February -12- Friday the 13th is a spooky date that can send a shiver down anyone's back.

On Friday the 13th of February employees of Antwerp Port Authority are likely to feel a shiver all over unless they come to work in their favourite sweater. As part of the port's efforts on sustainable energy and the environment, managers will take part in Thick Sweater Day, which has now become an annual event organised by the Flemish government. Heating in the Authority's office buildings will be set two degrees lower than normal, thus lowering CO2 emissions on that day by a good 14%. The authority will use the day to look at the savings in CO2 emissions and energy costs that could be achieved if the temperature in all buildings were to be set to 19 or 20°C.
