Hareket is playing a key role in the transport of 24 heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) modules from China to Turkmenistan in support of the Kiyanly combined cycle power plant project.
The first 12 modules, weighing a total of 235 tonnes, were discharged at the port of Haydarpaşa, Türkiye. The ship’s gear was used to load each unit onto 20-axle hydraulic trailers for movement around the port.
Hareket’s engineers then positioned each module on bespoke stools and beams ahead of reloading operations onto a second vessel for onward delivery to Turkmenistan, utilising a CC 2800 crawler crane for the lifts.
The remaining 12 HRSG modules are scheduled to follow in due course. Hareket said it performed the job in close collaboration with GAP CLK Worldwide.
HLPFI reported last month that Hareket had been busy installing wind turbines and delivering boilers to a steam generation plant for two different projects.
