November 10 - Project freight forwarders from across the world gathered for the XLProjects Network's (XLP) 3rd annual general meeting, which kicked off on Sunday evening in Kuala Lumpur.

The burgeoning network's third AGM ran November 8-10, 2015. Over 100 people were present at the opening reception at the Shangri-La hotel, where members shared drinks, food and reacquainted themselves.

It was down to business on Monday morning as members attended presentations from XLP executive director Gary Dale Cearley; Maersk Line's regional BDV manager for special cargo in Asia, Kevin Gibbens; Jimmy Tay, business development executive at WiseTech Global; and Alan Baldwin, Volga-Dnepr Group's business development manager, Engineering and Logistics Centre.

Cearley commented at the close of the event: "We feel extremely blessed with our members globally. They are top notch and the real reason why our growth is so strong and sustainable."

Members were also treated to a cocktail reception and dinner atop a Kuala Lumpur skyscraper, taking in stunning views of the city.

The final day of the AGM allowed members to develop further contacts via one-to-one meetings, and to build stronger ties with both established and new members.

Since its formation in 2012 the XLP network has reported strong growth, with more than 160 member offices now on its roster.
