Wilhelmsen Ships Service names new GM for Kuwait

July 13 - Wilhelmsen Ships Service has appointed Russell Dinwoodie as general manager for the company's operations in Kuwait, writes Alice Davidson.

Dinwoodie's focus will be on maintaining the leading market share in the ships agency that the company has in the region. He will also be responsible for developing product sales, which include the company's Unitor brand of products, to vessel operators and owners in Kuwait.

Dinwoodie comments, "With major infrastructure and investment programmes worth USD104 billion underway, this is a highly important area for Wilhelmsen Ships Service, as the country's development positively impacts on shipping and logistics requirements."

Russell has held various management positions in the transport sector working in the Middle East, South Africa and Canada, and joined Wilhelmsen Ships Service's Maritime Logistics department in 2008.
