January 25 - ZPMC - Red Box Energy Services has taken delivery of Audax, one of two 25,000 dwt PC-3 module carriers that the company is having built in China.
Audax returned from successful sea trials in early January and with her sistership Pugnax, will join the Red Zed I and Red Zed II, two semi-submersible marine heavy transport vessels delivered in 2015, all capable of navigating all year round above the Arctic Circle.
ZPMC - Red Box Energy Services' chief executive officer, Philip Adkins, says that Audax was "designed, built and delivered in less than 20 months, on time, to specification and on budget. Something that was considered impossible by many in the industry.
"We financed the vessel with a 95 percent sale and leaseback facility, which was also considered to be impossible in the current market.
"ZPMC - Red Box Energy Services focuses on high-value niche markets in the offshore and onshore energy services industry where high standards require capital, technical skill, operational capabilities, client focus, and complete dedication to safety and environmental stewardship."
