R&B powers ahead in Qatar

August 28 - Croatia's R&B Global Projects has chartered a heavy lift vessel to transport six transformers and their accessories from Rijeka port to Doha, Qatar.

The cargo had a total volume of 2,000 cu m, with the heaviest units weighing over 120 tonnes.

This was the first shipment destined for the Kahramaa's Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion project

At the same time, explained director Dave Roosen, the company booked the shipment of another large power transformer destined for the same project, out of Masan, South Korea.

R&B will also load another four transformers for the project in Croatia's Rijeka port at the end of September, explained Roosen.
