Dockwise reveals major new contracts

June 22 - Dockwise has announced backlog additions to new contracts with a value of almost USD85 million, bringing the total for the second quarter of 2012 to approximately USD102 million.

The additions include 15 short term contracts, mainly for execution in the second and third quarters of 2012.

The projects include the transport of 12 jack-up rig for various owners to different regions.

On longer term assignments, Dockwise said it had reached a final agreement on a large extension in the scope of an existing offshore transport contract in the oil and gas sector.

The extension adds to the existing LOI for the project which was already included in the first quarter 2011 backlog.

The changes in scope involve vessel modification and additional outfitting for the transport, which originates in the Far East, and is scheduled to be executed in 2015 or 2016.
