ADM gets skid moving

April 22 - ADM Team Heavy Weight has handled the transport of a 9 m high skid for an oil platform from Mol in Belgium to Scotland.

The skid was first transported about 25 km by road from its production facility in Mol to ADM's own ro-ro terminal on the Albert Canal, using the company's new Nooteboom 3+6 PXE low loader trailer, which required the removal of various electric cables, high voltage cables, traffic lights and trees.

At the ro-ro terminal the cargo was loaded onto a barge and transported downriver to the port of Antwerp, where ADM handled transhipment onto a coaster vessel for final shipment to Scotland.

ADM Team Heavy Weight is a member of The Heavy Lift Group (THLG).
