Ahlers Ukraine ships oil-drilling rig to UAE

June 18 - Ahlers Ukraine has successfully completed the shipment of an oil-drilling rig from the Ukraine to the UAE.

The rig was delivered by trucks from Stryi in the Lviv region of Ukraine to the port of Odessa, where the oversize machinery was loaded onboard a ship.

The consignment consisted of 53 units with a total weight of 1,366 tonnes. Among the pieces were five heavy lift pieces of 45 tonnes weight and five oversize pieces of 4.2 m height. 17 truck journeys were required over a two-week period to deliver the consignment to Odessa.

Meanwhile, Ahlers Singapore organised the movement of four induction furnace machinery units ex Mumbai to Surabaya for local forwarders with project cargo carriers. Cargo has been loaded and discharged smoothly, reports the company.
