ALE toasts reactor lift

October 21 - ALE has successfully executed the installation of a 718 tonne reactor which was 33 m long and had a 4.2 m diameter at a petroleum refinery in Sines, Portugal.

The reactor was lifted and tilted onto its foundation from its horizontal transport position.

To execute the lifting, ALE used its CC8800/1 crane, assisted by a skidding gantry of 850 tonne capacity.

The reactor was transported to the jobsite via Self Propelled Modular Trailers (SPMTs) set up in four x 24-axle configuration.
