February 15 - CargoLogicAir (CLA) has completed its first series of charter flights after receiving its Air Operator Certificate (AOC).

The new UK airline's first charter flights included two Boeing 747-400 freighter charters to Bari, Italy via Frankfurt for Chapman Freeborn Italia, carrying 113 tonnes of automotive parts. Chapman Freeborn booked the charters on behalf of freight forwarder Savino del Bene.

Since the launch flights, CLA has operated two further charter services from Nairobi to the UK, carrying over 200 tonnes of fresh flowers in time for Valentine's Day.

HLPFI reported on February 2, 2016 that CLA had been awarded its AOC, with the all-cargo airline expecting to have a fleet of five B747 freighters by April 2018.
