Clean sweep for CEA

June 9 - CEA Projects has transported modules and steel gas spools from Thailand to Darwin, Australia for the Ichthys LNG Project.

The cargo was received, recorded and placed in CEA's quarantine compliance area at its cargo consolidation facility in Laem Chabang, in order to prepare the consignment to comply with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) regulations.

All of the cargo was cleaned by CEA with pressure washers and detergent, before being placed on concrete blocks inside the quarantine area to prevent any other contamination.

Cislin 25 was administered throughout CEA's facility, as well as being applied to the outer surfaces of the cargo and the inside of each container.

In addition CEA also fabricated several timber packing frames that had been treated and fumigated, to ensure the safe transit of cargo en route.

The modules and gas spools were placed inside containers and secured in place using Cordex strapping. Chocks were also installed on all four sides of the cargo, which prevented any acceleration or braking forces causing damage during transport.

Finally, all of the containers were fumigated and sealed, before setting off to Australia.
