November 25 - DB Schenker has extended the agreement to provide the Boon, Germany headquartered International Paralympic Committee (IPC) with logistics, freight forwarding and Customs clearance services for the Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia 2014 and R

The IPC and DB Schenker have been working together since Athens held the Olympics in 2004. As well as providing services for the Paralympic Games, DB Schenker has agreed to service other key IPC events.

Heiner Murmann, member of the board of management, responsible for air and ocean freight at Schenker AG, commented on the agreement: "We are committed to provide logistics concepts, support and services at all times, ensuring that the IPC will always fulfil its strategic priorities. While thousands of athletes are already training hard for the Paralympic Games in Sochi 204, our logistics preparations are also in full swing, making sure that the IPC will reach its goals."

The IPC is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement, coordinating the organisation of the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, and serving as the International Federation for nine sports.
